My parents are in my church and for over 10 years they’ve been doing mission trips to the Philippines. For about 3 years now we’ve also financially supported an orphanage over in Butuan City. Tonight I got to hang out with Michael and Gennie Brearley from Surigao City, Mindanao and Paul Ian and Joy Javier from Cebu City, Cebu.
Check out some photos here.
It was a great night together. We went to a local mall in a Blue Bird Taxi (the guy was very dodgy and his photo looked nothing like him… he said, ‘Oh, my friend, my friend.’) and had some Indonesian for dinner. The connection was strong and the laughs flowed easily, it was really a great time.
The plan is to start partnering with these 2 churches in the Philippines to help them grow and plant more churches throughout the nation. At this stage we don’t know what that looks like but I’m very keen to start working it out.
Already we’ve supported Michael and Gennie AU$2000 to get to the Church Planting Intensive here in Jakarta which they feel very blessed by. It’s great to have the opportunity to sow into the lives of 2 leaders who’s vision is to plant another 10 churches in the Philippines. I’m stoked that we’ve been able to do something which, on a grand scale could have a HUGE effect. Bring on the fruit.
On a side note I’ll be purchasing some Imodium first thing tomorrow as my little… ahem… problem isn’t going away. Actually… I’d better go… to the toilet. Blog again soon!

Dude,
When you’ve got the runs you’re not suposed to eat out!
