So tonight I hired out Blade Runner and Total Recall as I had never seen them and Beck’s away for a couple of nights at Everywoman.
It’s hard to define my top 5 movies of all time but I can probably list my top 5 Sci Fi movies (not including hero movies like Iron Man)
1. The Matrix
2. The Fifth Element
3. Transformers
4. Equilibrium
5. WALL.E
Some others worthy of mention I think are T3, Independance Day, Wanted, Dark City, Minority Report and Demolition Man!

There are a lot of good sci fi movies out there. I feel that to put up a “top 5″ without further category breakdowns really misses a lot of gems whose genre are so differemt you can’t really compare.
The original Star Wars trilogy and Paycheck definitely deserve honourable mentions for this list though
