Hey, I’m Darren Chapman, pastor of a Christian City Church (New Life) in Newcastle, Australia. I have a beautiful wife (Beck) and 3 great boys (Ethan – 3 and Jed and Thomas – 2). My passions are my God, my wife and boys, my church, eating good food, movie watching, web surfing and the odd video game here or there.
I’m not a workaholic but I love my work. I’m passionate, driven, competitive, faithful and occasionally humourous. I’m a people person and love connecting with people I don’t know. I find people fascinating, their stories deep and touching. I’m devoted to the call of God on my life. Jesus is my focus. I’m passionate about seeing people healed, whole, free and living life for everything it was intended to be.
God is amazing. When you truly get a grip on what God has for you, you’ll lay down everything. I use the word ‘journey’ a lot. I’m on a journey… of faith, of life, of marriage, of fatherhood, of freedom, of healing, of truth, of joy, of relationship with God and people. Everything I do, I try to make it about God and not me.
